Product Description
BAL SPF S1 is a highly flexible, S1 classified standard-setting tile adhesive for walls and floors, offering users an extended open time of 30 minutes and pot life of 5 hours. BAL SPF S1 is recommended for fixing most types of tile, large format wall tile and areas of total immersion in water such as swimming pools and showers. It is also suitable for installations subject to limited movement and vibration, and heated screeds.
BAL SPF S1 is the perfect tile adhesive for use on difficult floors where flexibility is required such as underfloor heating and areas where there is movement. Standard setting, BAL SPF S1 has a number of benefits to aid fixing including extended open time and pot life for longer working. BAL SPF S1 can be grouted in 16 hours and is developed with PorcelBond technology for use with porcelain.
Use for
- Fixing ceramics, porcelain and vitrified tiles, mosaics, certain natural stones, terrazzo, rigid foam insulating materials and brick slips in dry or wet interior and exterior environments. NOTE: Certain types of natural stone (i.e. limestone, marble, travertine and some granite) may be susceptible to water staining. In this case, use of a BAL Flexible Rapid-setting white BAL adhesive is recommended i.e. BAL RAPID-FLEX ONE.
- Recommended for large format wall tiles, areas of total immersion in water e.g. swimming pools and showers.
- Installations subject to limited movement and vibration.
- Heated screeds.
Restrictions: NOT suitable for
- Metal, painted, Glass/metal tiles with water-sensitive coating on back, plywood walls and tiling to existing glazed tiles, ceramic panels (e.g.3m x 1m in size).
